Akasame Haddu Movie Review

Film: Akasame Haddu
Starring: Navadeep, Panchi Bora, Rajeev
Director: Ravi Charan Meripo
Producer: Nimmagadda Venugopal
Banner: Ravi Corporation
Music: Anand
Rating:2.5/5

Story:
Narayana(Rajeev Salur) is a topper in engineering college but tries to kill himself where Karthik (Navdeep) interferes and asks him the reason for taking such decision. Narayana starts narrating his love at first sight with Keerthi(Panchi Bora) and how he tried out to impress her but could not succeed. But Keerthi hates him and at one point says she will not bother if he dies too. In this regard, Karthik promises to help Narayana and with his tips, Narayana becomes Keerthi’s close friend. However, Keerthi says she can’t accept his love due to other reasons which forms the key point of the story.
Performances
Karthik’s role is like cakewalk to Navdeep. He is cool, natural and his expressions and dialogue delivery will be liked by everyone. Rajiv Saluri delivers a decent performance. The actor leaves an impression with his dancing skills in this flick. TV artiste Panchi Borah makes debut as female lead and she delivers mediocre show, though she is good looking. Others like Bhanu Chander, Pragati, Dharmavarapu, Surekha Vani, Nassar, Rao Ramesh and Suman Shetty did justice to their roles with in their limitations.
Technicalities
Cinematography is appealing and Anand’s music is interesting with a couple of hummable tracks. Background score is good. Dialogues are simple and neat. Editing is slick. Story is realistic and screenplay is good in parts. Ravicharan’s direction gets full marks and should be commended for his presentation.
Analysis
Akasame Haddu is a sincere effort from the director Ravi Charan where majority of the scenes are taken from the real-life incidents of youths. The film delivers a message to fight against the problem and get along with the life instead of taking away their life by committing suicide. However, the film doesn’t get preachy and this treatment has worked for Akasame Haddu. However, the narration has few up’s and down’s with also few questions unanswered. On the whole, Akasame Haddu appeals to the viewers who likes to watch film with good story.
Final Verdict
Commendable Attempt
