Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday admitted to his relationship with TV journalist Amrita Rai. Intimate pictures of the two were leaked recently on the Internet and these went viral.
"I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case," Singh tweeted on Wednesday.
Asked about the leaked pictures, Rai, a senior anchor with Rajya Sabha TV channel, said that her computer had been hacked.
She also tweeted, "I have separated from my husband and we have filed a mutual consent divorce papers. After which I have decided to marry with Digvijaya Singh."
The 67-year-old former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister's wife passed away in February last year. They have four daughters and one son.
