The Telugu Film Industry has completed 80 years today. The movie ‘Bhakta Prahlada’ has released on September 15th 1931 and is the first talkie film in the history of Telugu Cinema. Directed by H.M.Reddy, the movie was a sensational hit in those days.
The entire film industry is going to celebrate the event today at Rama Naidu Kalyanamandapam in Film Nagar. There will be a flag hoisting ceremony and other activities to commemorate the event.A collage of all the film artistes of the industry will be shown.
The event will be celebrated in a big way next year and the Producers Council has informed us that all the theaters in the state would be specially decorated. A gala event was celebrated five years ago for the 75th anniversary.
It is a matter of great pride for all of us to be a part of such a venerable and historic occasion.
